Cropping your photographs for scanning

         Cut a clean, white piece of paper the size of your photograph (i.e... 3.5" x 5", 4" x 6", 5" x 7", or 8" x 10"). Now cut a square or rectangle in the paper the size of the image you with to crop. Tape the paper in place on the photograph.
